Hungary have not got as single player who appears in Europe’s top-five leagues but they had more than enough to see off Norway in the Euro 2016 playoffs
The Nigerian was on target for the Potters in their defeat to Cologne, while hoping to regular 90-minutes of action under Mark Hughes
Peter Odemwingie has set himself a target of 10 goals next season, and has expressed his desire to start many games for Stoke City in the new season.
The Potters’ forward came off the bench to score in the Potters’ 2-1 defeat to FC Cologne in a pre-season game on Saturday.
The 34 year-old fans favourite remains well on track to fully recover from the cruciate knee ligament injury which laid him low 11 months ago in the 1-0 win at Manchester City.
"My first target was to not miss any training during pre-season, which I've done so far, and hopefully that will stay that way,” Odemwingie told Stoke Sentinel.
"I hope to start many games and get to double figures for goals. I look at 10 Premier League goals this season, I think it’s achievable.
"I'm motivated and have a good feeling about the year and can't wait for the season.”
"Yes, hopefully I can get 90 minutes," he added.
"I feel much better physically, but need to keep going and working hard.
"I've had three games so far... 60 minutes, 80 and 45, which is what I need.
"The knee is getting much better and I'm feeling more comfortable. It's nine months now and still a few months away from being 100 per cent, but I'm happy where I am.
"There's no short cuts. You have to make those efforts off the ball as well, which I'm trying to do, to get me back to my best physical condition and hopefully we can continue without any injuries,” he concluded.
The Swede has been linked with a return to AC Milan, while the Italy international was to rejoin Atletico Madrid - but the man in charge at Parc des Princes says neither will be...
Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has declared that both Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Thiago Mottaare staying at the club.
The pair have just one year remaining on their respective contracts with the Ligue 1 champions and Ibrahimovic has been heavily linked with a return to AC Milan, while Thiago Motta has publicly expressed his desire to rejoin Atletico Madrid.
However, despite Thursday's arrival of Angel Di Maria from Manchester United for €63 million, Al-Khelaifi insists that there will be no major departures at the Parc des Princes before the close of the summer transfer window.
"Thiago Motta has one year left on his contract: he will stay," the PSG supremo told reporters in the French capital.
"Ibra also has a one year left. He will stay too."
Indeed, Al-Khelaifi believes that with Di Maria now on board, PSG have a team capable of beating any side in Europe.
"We want to win Champions League and Angel Di Maria will be an added asset for the team," he added.
